Post Details:

1. Job Title: Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Engineer Electrical)

2. Qualification: Full time B.E.(Electrical)/B.Tech.(Electrical) in regular mode from recognized University duly approved by UGC/AICTE with minimum 55% in 7th & 8th Semester/Final year without ATKT. 

3. Fixed Remuneration: Fixed Remuneration for 1st Year Rs.48100/- and for 2 Year Rs.50700/. No other allowance or benefits would be admissible. Reimbursement of TA/DA as per GSO-333 dated 03.12.2003.

4. Scope of Career Development/Prospective: The selected candidate shall be appointed initially for the period of two years as Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Engineer) and may be considered for appointment to the post of Junior Engineer on regular establishment, in the pay scale of Rs.45400-101200 subject to satisfactory completion of two years as Vidyut Sahayak.

5. Required skill: The candidate should possess knowledge of Computer Operations. Good command over English and Gujarati Language.

6. Age Criteria: Unreserved Category 35 years For Reserved Category (Inclusive EWS): 40 years on the date of advertisement. (12/03/2024)

Delhi HC Upholds PepsiCo's Patent Claim for Lay's Potato Variety

The division bench of the Delhi High Court has recently ruled in favor of PepsiCo, granting them a patent for a specific potato variety used in their popular Lay's potato chips. PepsiCo wins Patent Case In 1989, PepsiCo, a renowned New York based  American snacks and beverages manufacturer, established its inaugural facility in India with the purpose of manufacturing potato chips. A specific variety of potato seeds was provided to a group of farmers by the company, who then exclusively sold their produce to PepsiCo at a predetermined price. In 2019, PepsiCo initiated a lawsuit against a select number of Indian farmers for cultivating the FC5 potato cultivar, claiming patent infringement. Additionally, the company sought compensation of over Rs 10 crore ($121,050) from each accused farmer for the alleged infringement.
