The MPLADS e-SAKSHI Mobile Application, introduced by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), is set to transform the way Members of Parliament (MPs) interact with and oversee development initiatives in their respective constituencies.

• The introduction of the e-SAKSHI mobile application signifies a major progress in the implementation of the Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) in India. About MP Local Area Development Scheme

• MPLADS, which was established in 1993, is a fully funded central sector scheme by the Government of India. It enables Members of Parliament (MPs) to suggest developmental projects that prioritize long-lasting community assets, according to the needs felt locally.

• Each MP is granted an annual allocation of Rs. 5 crores for these projects, which encompass the construction of infrastructure such as toilets and bridges, as well as the provision of essential services like drinking water and electricity.
